Fulfillment Update

Nearly all backers should now have their rewards.

(Exceptions obviously include the 34 backers who haven’t responded to their backer surveys. If that’s you, visit

All US domestic backers were fulfilled before Jeff left town for the GAMA Trade Show, with the final batch of shipments having been sent on March 8th.

Snakes & Lattes reported receiving Canadian rewards at their inbound facility on March 6th, and they expected to be shipping the week of the 11th.

European shipments from Kixto were expected to go out on March 8th, and have probably been received across Europe, if not the world. (Some few international shipments to places like Brazil and Thailand were sent from Kixto rather than Minneapolis because it turned out to be cheaper.)

Australian shipments were being processed on March 19th, and Aetherworks expects all shipments to be posted by tomorrow (March 22nd).

As ever, if something seems to have gone wrong with your order, please send a Kickstarter message, or email jeff at gameplaywright dot net.

And Again, Thank You

Unless there’s more legitimate news to report as fulfillment winds down, this is probably the last regular communication you’ll receive for this campaign.

From the whole Meeples Together team — Christopher, Colleen, Jeff, Kyla, Renee, Shannon, and Will — we’re grateful you helped make this book a reality.

Future Projects

From time to time, we’ll launch new Kickstarter campaigns. We’re likely to let you know via backer updates to this list. If you’d rather not get them, you can opt out of future campaign communications as described in Kickstarter’s knowledge base.

Kindle: Shipped

Assuming that you’ve completed your survey and paid any outstanding balance, you should have received a download notice from BackerKit, and should now have access to the Kindle edition of Meeples Together via

All Digital Editions Have Been Fulfilled

With the distribution of the Kindle edition, all digital editions of all campaign rewards and add-ons have been delivered.

If you’re having trouble with any of them, please send a Kickstarter message, or email jeff at gameplaywright dot net.

Thank You!

For digital-only backers, that’s it! Thank you for backing.

For backers receiving physical rewards, shipments are in progress. To recap past updates, drop shipments to our fulfillment partners’ central facilities in Canada, Europe, and Australia have been sent. About 15% of US backer rewards have been shipped, with more expected to go tomorrow and next week.

Of course, this is only the first chapter of Meeples Together’s life as a book. Its digital editions will go on sale to the public starting March 5, and physical editions will follow on May 1. If your friends love cooperative games, we’d be grateful if you helped us spread the word.

We’re Back in Business

As you read in Update 11 and Update 13, we attempted to distribute the PDF and EPUB editions of Meeples Together on Saturday, but wound up having to wait for our partners at BackerKit to return to work today in order to fix a glitch in the file distribution system.

Everything’s fixed, and you can now download your PDF and EPUB files from

The rest of the news in Saturday's Update 11  stands: The Kindle edition will be finished and distributed by the end of the month, physical distribution is underway, and you should always feel free to message or email (jeff at gameplaywright dot net) if you have any issues.

Thanks for your patience, and please enjoy Meeples Together!

We're Stuck for a Bit
3 months ago – Sat, Feb 23, 2019 at 11:40:55 PM

Many of you have emailed, messaged, or commented that you're not able to download the files because the download link fails to resolve.

Long story short: The files are ready to go, but getting the BackerKit system to accept them for re-distribution hasn't worked yet.

Boring, more explanatory version: I originally uploaded a file with a "+" in it, which my BackerKit rep has now told me sometimes causes the back end's file processing to hang. He advised me to delete the original file I uploaded, as well as the distribution rule that went with it, and try again with a re-named file. So far, that hasn't solved the issue; new uploads hang at "Pending" as well. Since the folks at BackerKit take the weekends off like civilized humans, I'm afraid that barring something unexpected shaking loose somewhere in the cloud all by itself, we're stuck until Monday morning.

Bottom line: I'll send another backer update when the downloads are truly ready, after having tested more thoroughly that that they're actually there to be downloaded.

Apologies, everyone.
